Itinerary description

Interesting journey through the extensive archaeological site of Polonaruwa. The entrance to the site is purchased at the archaeological museum and costs $ 25. It is recommended to drink a lot of water or liquids since the heat and the humidity tighten very nicely. Start as soon as possible to avoid the hottest hours and the crowds of visitors. I also recommend wearing socks in the backpack for when you have to take off your shoes when visiting the temples and area with Buddha images (there are not as many as in the extensive visit to Anuradhapura). The route is much more concentrated than that of the archaeological site of Anuradhapura.
