Itinerary description
At the start you can park your car along the road in the Wiltz valley below Benonchamps, near the RAVeL L164 cycling path on a former railway line. You first follow this cycling path towards Wiltz in Luxemburg. At Schleif you leave the cycling path and climb the Walwa hill towards Doncols. You descend to Sonlez and then climb the Sollerwee to Tarchamps. You descend to Harlange. From here you follow an undulating route to Surré. The climb of Hareler-Poteau follows, to Boulaide. Here you go down to the Sûre valley, directly followed by a climb out of the valley to Bigonville. On the N23 you descend to Martelange on the Sûre. This town on the border is quite touristic. Along the border you ride to Haut-Martelange where you follow the cycling path Jangeli. At the end you get close to the border with a nice border marker. I also saw a fox here. You continue to Perlé, descend, and then climb to Holtz. Shortly after Holz you follow a country road which closely follows the border, with cast iron border markers on both sides. You leave the border and descend to Colpach-Bas. Oberpallen is not much further, and here you cross the border into Belgium. In this area of Belgium Luxembourgish is spoken next to French, at least some of the street names are bilingual. Parallel to the border you go north to Northomb, where you start a longer climb of the Lamichterberg. After reaching the top, you follow the N4 highway a short while to La Folie, where you make a short detour from the highway to cross the border twice. You continue on the N4 to Martelange, where you will find a shear endless row of petrol stations on the Luxemburg side of the N4. The economy here is centered on the cheap Luxemburg petrol, and there are also several restaurants. You stay on the N4, cross the Sûre, and climb a short while on the N4 before leaving it to go to Grumelange in the Sûre valley. You follow this valley for a while before climbing to Tintange. From Tintange you descend to the border and cross it to climb towards Surré. After a short descend you climb further towards the border, cross it, and shortly afterwards cross it again at the Bëtlerbaach valley. Again you climb away from the border and then continue to Harlange. A climb of Rue Banny brings you in Belgium again and you continue towards Bastogne. Country roads bring you to the N84 which you follow a short while. You then follow the valley of the Ruisseau de Marvie back to the starting point near Benonchamps.

This is one of seven trips along the Luxemburg border, taking you around the entire country, with generally quiet and beautiful landscapes, the Our, Sauer and Moselle rivers, the industrious and mining landscape in the south, picturesque villages, three tripoints, wetlands, countryside and hills.
Starting at the tripoint Germany-Belgium-Luxemburg and going counter-clockwise, these are the routes:
