Itinerary description
Loop trail starting from Mirijevo and going to Obrenovac via Ada Ciganlija and Ostružnica. After passing the city center of Obrenovac, the route goes past the thermoelectric power plant TENT where you get to feel the electromagnetic field from transmission lines above the road (definitely a scary part and unpleasant, not sure if that is safe for humans outside of the car at all - but there is a pedestrian area, no sign that cycling is prohibited). Think twice if you are passing this narrow section with a bicycle from the main road to the beautiful green construction bridge over Sava. After crossing the Sava, the route to Jakove is a beautiful, almost straight road, but be aware of fast cars and trucks. Stay away on the road when they approach you. Once Surčin is passed, the route goes to Savski Kej on New Belgrade side, then to Ušće and further to Brankov Most to cross the Sava River once again. After Sava is crossed, the route follows the road to Kalemegdan and Saint Sava Temple. From there, it descends to Vukov Spomenik, only to finish by road to Mirijevo.
