Itinerary description
We started our trail at Routes’ local where we rented our bikes. We headed directly on the seaside road all along heading to Chekka. When we arrived to the Selaata sign at the entry of Selaata, we headed left and went all the way down to a parallele road closer to the sea. The road there is sandy, a bit like an off road. You can park your bikes there on your way and have a break along the clean sea (it’s not really safe to go down to the water though because of the waves slapping the rocks, so be careful). Following this off road part comes an uphill that takes you back to the main seaside road; Very beautiful quiet road with very few cars and a green scenery on both sides. Once on the main seaside road, head to chekka. When arriving to the chekka tunnel, we parked our bikes at the left side of the tunnel and went up hiking in a small road on the left of the tunnel. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sea from there. There is even stairs that can take you to a small alley where you have a beautiful scenery from up above. We took then our bikes back and went on the main seaside road back to Batroun (mainly flat and downhill). We ended our hike with a lemonade from Hilmi’s and seafood sandwishes from the local Georges Maalouf seafood snack. You can also enjoy a fun ride in the old streets of batroun on your way back if you still have some energy (not shown on the trail map). Very beautiful and fun day to spend with friends, even if you are not an avid or trained biker. Enjoy it!!

Small world! I remember you from mom’s ankle surgery. Came across this while looking for new ideas for cycling tracks; I’ll try your loop soon!
