Itinerary description
Bicycle-friendly, paved county roads, with segments along light-gravel, raised dikes beside minor creeks, Chilliwack River, Vedder Canal, and Sumas River. The area is level farmland, bounded by hills to the north and south, with good mountain views including Mount Baker in the USA. The route takes in the small town of Vedder.
Very old barns and farm buildings and equipment are frequently on display, especially around the community of "Arnold". Follows a section of the Trans Canada Trail (TCT) along the Sumas River.
Route is close to the Abbotsford Tulip Festival.
