Itinerary description
Nice loop with flat part by the sea from Ag Vasileios to Kamares following old national road. I recommend to do this part very early in the morning to avoid later heavy traffic and big trucks. In Kamares turn right to start the climb to Pititsa (with monastery of Saint Eleousa) and Sella. This part has beautiful views to Salmeniko valley. From Sella, starts downhill through Argyra and Platani, back to Ag Vasileios, with the best views over Rio-Antirio bridge and suburbs of Patra. The whole route is asphaltus and possible with road bike (so I mark it as "cycling" even though We did it with trekking/MTB bikes). Level medium for distance, but no technical difficulties.
TIP:
It is worth to check the wind before the ride. If it's W, this direction of the loop is correct. If it would be E, it is better to do the route reversed (to avoid riding against the wind on the section by the sea).
