Itinerary description
From Kawasaki to Hadano I cycled on road 246, it is a terrible choice. I need to remember that I should never try that again especially on the way back. There are countless traffic lights and the traffic is quite heavy.
From road 246 to Yabitsu pass the road is much better, the slope goes up to 8% and makes for a good challenge. Compared to hiking where it is extremely rare that someone passes me, it was very different here, many cyclist passed me with great ease.
The road from Yabitsu to Miyagase was closed to all traffic and I had to go back the same way.
On the way down from the pass the road is too steep with many turns with limited visibility to let go off the brakes.
Next time I'll probably take the train up to Hadano to avoid the very boring 246 road.
