Itinerary description
Nice drive off the beaten track, twice a dirt road to the monasteries. 2km of dirt road until monastery St. George in Bijela. Doable with a regular car if you drive slowly, depending on the state of the road. Usually there is somebody at the monastery so you can visit the frescoes inside.
Furthermore enjoy the views on the mountains and small villages, where they still live in a traditional way and harvest potatoes. In Gornja Bijela stop at the crossroad (Bridge with monument) and refresh in the river. Enjoy the clear water.
Monastery Podmalinsko (St. Michael) is also situated in a beautiful setting. 1 km of dirt road from the main road. 15th Century!
You continue over Boan and Tušina towards Žabljak. At the last marked waypoint you can continue a couple of hundred meters on the right to Vražje Lake and take a swim or enjoy the colours. Enjoy this route!
