Itinerary description
This is the route through Santiago if coming/leaving to Sona-Santa Catalina.
NOTE:During Carnival and Holidays this route is BLOCKED and you must use the Desvio Santiago a Sona Detour.
TO SONA
When approaching from Panama City you will see Hotel Pyramidal/bus stop/pedestrian bridge walkway.
Keep in the left turn lane on the Interamericana Highway. You must daringly cross highway with no aid from street light signals.
From highway turn LEFT onto Avenida Central. It becomes ONE way at the gas station. Follow this road through town to the Iglesia/Church. Pass on the LEFT side of the church.
Turn immediate RIGHT at the rear corner of church. Go a few blocks and turn LEFT at the Mini Super. This will take you to Sona.
FROM SONA
Avenida Central is ONE way as you approach in this direction. Returning from Sona you will approach Santiago up a steep curvy hill.
At the top of the hill bear RIGHT onto Calle 1A.
Turn LEFT onto Avenida Central. Pass on the same side of church as before. Turn RIGHT near the front corner of church onto Calle 3A.
Turn LEFT at the small triangular plaza and continue straight. After passing Calle 12A, you can turn left onto any street and return to Avenida Central.
Turn RIGHT on Avenida Central and return to the Interamericana Highway.
Turn RIGHT to return to Panama City.

Turn RIGHT on Avenida Central and return to the Interamericana Highway.
Turn RIGHT to return to Panama City.
