Itinerary description
Mangu Bulake - Turpan
Slow drive back from the Gaochang Ancient City back to Turpan.
Road takes us through some smaller villages, drylands and farm lands. Only one police stop along they way, although the road itself has a lot of holes and slow-down bars.
Early sections of the journey took us along some oil fields.
At the arrival to Turpan we have passed by the famous Emin Minaret. The tallest minaret in China dated back to end of 16th Century.
Never the less it is an interesting alternative to the highway.
