Some of the most important places that can be visited are:
Muckross House - Located near Muckross Lake. Besides being the gateway to the National Park and an excellent base for exploring it, it is an old restored house, built in the 19th century. It was the residence of landowners until the 1920s, along with being the resting place of Queen Victoria on her visit to Ireland in 1861.
Cascada de Torc: from the parking area the waterfall is a 5-minute walk away and you can continue walking as long as you like on that path.
Any of the three lakes
Ross Castle: It is located on the shores of Lake Sheelin. It was built during the Middle Ages, towards the end of the year 1400.
