Itinerary description
Driving - Although Joshua Trees are present in various parts of the Mojave Desert, a drive through the dedicated National Park is a pleasant experience.
For those who can brave leaving an air-conditioned vehicle, a small one mile (1.6 Km) loop through the nice rock formations of the Hidden Valley is a good option. Another small loop through the Cholla Cactus Garden is a must. Beware of rattlesnakes although we haven't seen or heard any.
