Itinerary description
Driving - There aren't many pockets of Redwoods, the tallest trees on Earth, left on the Pacific Coast. The most notorious locations are Redwood National Park and Muir Woods. Other than these popular sites, it is much worth a drive through magnificent - and probably even bigger - trees in Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park which is with no doubt the most scenic and undeveloped site.
The 10-mile (16 Km) narrow road is unpaved but, although dusty, feasible with a conventional vehicle.
Take a walk around the magnificent Stout Grove.
