Itinerary description
Driving - This track is the partial log of the first edition of the Caucasian Challenge 2008 Rally, a 6,000+ Km geocaching race that started in Budapest, Hungary, to see the finish line in Yerevan, Armenia, through Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Turkey and Georgia. I took part to this event driving a 1986 Moskvich 2140 which survived the race - with just a few minor fixes.
I was forced to quit in Tbilisi but crew members Frank and Joao could proceed and make this adventure all the way to the finish line in Yerevan.
The recorded track was wrapped and went partially lost while several waypoints were saved. The missing route is roughly and partially reconstructed here.
