Itinerary description
Chhangla gali is mostly covered with the Chitralla forest. It's also serves as the pass between the valleys.
There is an iconic hotel there 'Daisy Dot' which is visible from distance. It's being renovated currently. We often stop there for quick breakfast. they have washroom facility unlike many of the small restaurants.
A man emerged from the forest and show a small but very long snake he had caught. they also have an eagle for photography. They have decorated the point with artificial flowers, photo frames and stuffed animals.
After the hike we stopped at a small road side hotel. it was an old hotel and kind of a dhaba but it's food was very good. Roti's were crispy and both 'Mash ki Daal' and 'Chanay ki Daal' were very tasty. The window behind the hotel gave a beautiful view. I tend to like the original and old places like this one.
The day was sunny and wind was soothingly warm. Drive back to Islamabad was mostly uneventful. I slept for most of the part but I remember whenever I opened my eyes, I wished I had not slept.
I particularly liked the drive on BaraKahu bridge which felt like a drive through future.
Usually we come back in the dark but as we finished the hike in the Chiralla Forest a bit early, so we came back in the afternoon. The fun ended as we reached back in the city traffic.
