CANADA OVEST TOURS (ALBERTA & BRITISH COLUMBIA) Agosto 2018

Tour organizzato fai-da-te, suddiviso in 21 giorni. Abbiamo prenotato il volo A/R,con arrivo su Calgary e rientro da Vancouver, l'auto a noleggio (classe economica) e le prime due notti in Hotel a Calgary. Le altre le abbiamo prenotate strada facendo. Non è stato facile trovare da dormire ( il sito Bookingcom è ormai troppo conosciuto e pubblicizzato) . Il tempo è stato praticamente sempre quasi sereno, tranne un paio di scrosci di pioggia. Purtroppo gli incendi, sparsi un po' in tutto il Canada ed il Nord degli USA, hanno creato una pesante cappa di fumo e reso l'aria talvolta irrespirabile. Ciò non ci ha permesso di godere pienamente della vista sulle Rocky Mountain che soltanto con l'immaginazione si potevano ammirare. Per fortuna l'ultima settimana,il vento ha spazzato via la nube, migliorando la qualità dell'aria e la visibilità.
I B&B ed alcuni Motel, hanno il brutto vizio di prelevare anticipatamente i soldi sulla carta di credito e congelarti una cauzione di 100CAD per tutelarsi in caso di danneggiamento di qualcosa, che poi ti restituiscono entro 15 giorni. Un consiglio è quello di utilizzare una carta prepagata per confermare la notte ed eventualmente ricaricarla al bisogno.
La benzina costa mediamente 1,389 / 1,450 CAD al litro. Prestare attenzione di non fare rifornimento all'interno del Parco Jasper., l"abbiamo pagata la bellezza di 2,000 CAD al. Litro, circa il 45% in più.
Come auto ci hanno dato una Chevrolet Cruze Eco,(tramite AVIS) ci ha permesso di percorrere in città i 14/15 km/lt e sulle strade extraurbane i 18/19km/lt. Secondo la mia esperienza personale, posso dire che il Canada è decisamente più caro rispetto agli Stati Uniti dell"Ovest. Negli ultimi due anni c"é stato un incremento del turismo del 200%.. Conviene acquistare il biglietto per l'ingresso ai parchi del costo di 70 CAD a persona, che ti permette di entrare e visitare tutti quelli del Canada quante volte si vuole, anche perché capita più volte al giorno di attraversare lo stesso parco per gli spostamenti. La durata del biglietto è di12 mesi dalla data di acquisto. Un altro consiglio che vi posso dare, è quello di prenotare in anticipo almeno due notti a. BANFF e JASPER, Località strategiche come base, onde evitare di fare un sacco di km inutili. Noi non lo abbiamo preso in considerazione per sentirci più liberi.
Il tour lo abbiamo suddiviso in due parti:
La prima parte, da Calgary siamo risaliti verso i principali parchi, Banff, Jasper, Kootenai, Yoho e Vancouver.
La seconda parte : Vancouver e d'intorni +Isola di Vancouver.
Come attività del percorso ho messo impegnativo, per la sua lunghezza in km,unita anche ai vari percorsi di tracking effettuati durante il tragitto, che portano via parecchio tempo ed energia fisica.

CANADA WEST TOURS (ALBERTA & BRITISH COLUMBIA) August 2018

Do-it-yourself organized tour, divided into 21 days. We booked the flight A / R, arriving on Calgary and returning from Vancouver, the rental car (economy class) and the first two nights at the Hotel in Calgary. The others we booked on the way. It was not easy to find a place to sleep (the Bookingcom site is now too well known and publicized). The weather was almost always almost clear, except for a couple of rain showers. Unfortunately, the fires, scattered throughout Canada and the North of the USA, created a heavy smoke hood and made the air sometimes unbearable. This did not allow us to fully enjoy the view of the Rocky Mountain that could only be admired with the imagination. Luckily the last week, the wind blew the cloud away, improving air quality and visibility.
The B & B and some Motels, have the bad habit of withdrawing the money in advance on the credit card and freezing a deposit of 100CAD to protect themselves in case of damage to something, which then return you within 15 days. One advice is to use a prepaid card to confirm the night and eventually recharge it as needed.
Gasoline costs an average of 1,389 / 1,450 CAD per liter. Be careful not to refuel within the Jasper Park. We have paid the beauty of 2,000 CAD per liter, around 45% more.

We divided the tour into two parts:
The first part, from Calgary we went back to the main parks, Banff, Jasper, Kootenai, Yoho and Vancouver.
The second part: Vancouver and around + Vancouver Island.
As an activity of the route, I put challenging, for its length in km, also combined with the various tracking paths made during the journey, which take away a lot of time and physical energy.
