Park the car next to the fish farm at Chão da Ribeira, 4.5 km from Seixal (32.796750, -17.113970). Follow the dirt road and after a path parallel to the Ribeira do Seixal. Walk about 25 minutes, cross the river to the left and climb a trail with many wooden steps (Vereda do Lombo do Barbinhas) (32.788995, -17.115260) until you reach the Levada do Seixal. Follow the levada to the left until the beginning of the route.
