One of the top three canyons on Crete (along with Arvi and Portela) and probably the best when there is good water. We did it nearly dry, with cold stagnant pools, which is not nearly as pleasant. It channels the wind, expect to be cold.
The road to the lower parking gets rough, normal cars may want to park a few hundred metres earlier.
