Itinerary description

There are two options to exit from Funda da Ponta Ruiva. For the first, exit by the left bank before the last rappel, using a somewhat exposed and degraded trail, which then enters a valley and goes through a stretch of dense vegetation before turning right to a steep climb between the trees and which leads to the village of Ponta Ruiva (1.25 km; ask beforehand about the condition of the trail). In the second option, after abseiling to the pebble beach, turn left and swim around 350 metres to Fajã da Ponta Ruiva (39.495948, 31.153368). Arriving at the fajã, at the beginning of the pebble beach, go up next to a small stream for a few metres on a steep slope and without a trail until you reach some fields. Then climb an easy-to-find path to the village of Ponta Ruiva (1.0 km and 230 metres of elevation)

    Hola Francisco Antonio, soy Ppote
    Vamos a ir a Azores y queremos hacer el barranco Barrosas, pero no he encontrado un track gps. Sólo tenemos los puntos de inicio y final del barranco.
    Por casualidad lo ha hecho y podrías ayudarnos con el track de aproximación o el punto recomendable del parking de inicio?

    coordenadas para aparcar el coche: 39.493720, -31.166086
    Siguiendo la ER 1-2 dirección Ponta Delgada, girar hacia Ponta Ruiva justo antes del km 10. Después de 1,1 km, girar a la izquierda siguiendo un camino de tierra, estacionar el coche 500 metros más adelante. Seguir a pie el sendero GR01FLO, pasando por encima del escarpe, y después de cruzar tres pequeños afluentes, entrar en el arroyo principal antes de que el sendero vuelva a subir hacia Ponta das Barrosas.
    Verifique las condiciones del mar de antemano y haga arreglos con Carlos Toste Mendes (Hotel Occidental) u otra persona que tenga un bote.
