La ruta, de una jornada de duración,discurre por parajes sorprendentes de hábitats diversos, ligados al río Gévora y a sus afluentes el Guarranque y el Gevorete, en las localidades de Alburquerque y La Codosera. El itinerario propuesto es lineal con desviaciones de ida y vuelta, y las carreteras BA-008 (Alburquerque-La Codosera) y BA-053 (La Codosera-Bacoco) son sus ejes principales. Se propone empezar en Alburquerque y terminar en La Codosera.

This full-day route crosses a surprising diversity of habitats, associated with the River Gévora and its tributaries Guarranque and Gevorete, close to the Cebollines, la Carava and la Lamparona mountains, in the municipalities of Alburquerque and la Codosera. The suggested itinerary is linear with routes leading off the main axes which are the BA-008 road (Alburquerque-La Codosera) and BA-053 (La Codosera-Bacoco). It is recommended to start in Alburquerque and finish in la Codosera.

Camino a la izquierda hacia la Sierra de La Carava. Aparcar y caminar hasta un altozano. Dirt track to the left, towards the Sierra de La Carava. Park, walk to the higher venture point and scan the area.

Camino a la izquierda al Guarranque (PR-BA 100). Aparcar y caminar hasta una elevación y otear. Dirt track to the left towards the Guarranque river (PR-BA 100). Park, walk up to a venture point and scan the area.

5 Tres Arroyos

Paraje de Tres Arroyos. Aparcar, caminar y otear. Area of Tres Arroyos (Three Creeks). Park, walk and scan the area.

Final de la pista asfaltada. Retornar al punto 2. End of the asphalted road. Return to point nº 2.

Subida al Mirador del Risco de San Blas. Walk up to the Viewpoint of El Risco de San Blas.

Cruce de carreteras. Nos desviamos a la derecha en dirección a La Codosera. Crossroad. Turn right towards La Codosera.

Río Gévora, Charco de La Virgen. Gira a la izquierda antes de pasar el puente nuevo. Seguir las indicaciones hacia la Ermita de Carrión, pasando por el puente viejo. Aparcar en el merendero a la derecha de la carretera. Gévora river, Charco (lake) de la Virgen. Turn left before passing the new bridge. Follow the indications towards the hermitage of Carrión crossing the river over the old bridge. Park in the picnic area to the right of the road.

Rio Gévora y Ermita de Carrión. Tras cruzar el puente viejo aparcamos a la izquierda, caminar y otear. Gévora river and Hermitage of Carrión. After crossing the old bridge we turn left and park the car, make a walk along the river and scan the area.

Desvio a la derecha. Camino al río Gévora: Charca del motor. Aparcar, caminar y otear. Turn right onto the dirt track towards the "Charca del motor" a small lake in the Gévora river. Park, walk and scan the area.

Desvío a la derecha. Camino al Río Gévora: Pasarela de Las Lobas. Aparcar, caminar y otear. Turn right onto a dirt track that leads to La "Pasarela de Las Lobas", ancient stepping stones in the Gévora river. Park, walk and scan the area.

Desvío a la derecha. Camino al Gévora: La Changarrilla. Aparcar, caminar y otear. Turn right onto a track towards "La Changarilla" in the Gévora river. Park, walk and scan the area.

La Codosera. Cruce de carreteras. Desvío a la derecha en dirección a San Vicente de Alcántara. La Codosera. Crossroad. Turn right towards San Vicente de Alcántara.

15 Observatorio de Aves - Bird Hide

Camino de La Fábrica (derecha) Observatorio de Aves y La Pesquera. Turn right onto a dirt road towards an abandoned flour factory. Visit the Bird Hide and La Pesquera.

La Codosera. Cruce T a la derecha en dirección La Rabaza y Piscinas Naturales. La Codosera. Turn right on the intersection towards La Rabaza and the Piscinas Naturales.

Piscinas Naturales del Río Gévora. Aparcar, caminar y otear. Natural swimming pool in the Gévora river. Park, walk and scan the area.

Cruce de Carreteras. Desvío a la izquierda en dirección a Bacoco. At the intersection turn left towards Bacoco.

Desvío a la derecha hacia Bacoco. Turn right towards Bacoco.

Camino a la Ermita de La Lapa (izquierda) Aparcar y seguir las indicaciones de SL-BA 242. Trail to the left towards the hermitage of La Lapa. Park the car and follow the signposts of the SL-BA 242.
