Los embalses de Horno Tejero y Boquerón están situados al norte de la localidad de Cordobilla de Lácara. La ruta discurre por parajes acuáticos y serranos, visitando, además de los embalses, miradores naturales y bosques de alcornoques. El itinerario propuesto es lineal y une los municipios de Cordobilla de Lácara y Puebla de Obando a través de un itinerario que se adentra en el auténtico ambiente de la Sierra de San Pedro.
¡ATENCIÓN!: El camino entre Cordobilla de Lácara y Puebla de Obando está actualmente intransitable para turismos.

The Horno Tejero and Boquéron reservoirs are located north of Cordobilla de Lácara.
The route encompasses stops in wetland and upland terrain, visiting as well as the reservoirs, viewpoints on headlands and cork oak woodland. The proposed itinerary is linear and links the municipalities of Cordobilla de Lácara and Puebla de Obando by a route that takes one into the typical surroundings of the Sierra de San Pedro.

NB: The road between Cordobilla de Lácara and Puebla de Obando is currently not suitable for normal cars.

Waypoints

1 Observatorio. - Bird Hide

Pequeño camino a la derecha que se acerca a la orilla. Aparcar, caminar y otear. Small dirt track to the right that leads to the shore of the reservoir. Park, walk and scan the area.

Cruce con la BA099. Continuar en dirección a Cordobilla de Lácara. Intersection with the BA099. Continue towards Cordobilla de Lácara.

4 Mirador - Viewpoint

Mirador oriental de la Presa de El Boquerón. Aparcar y otear. Viewpoint east of the El Boquerón dam. Park and scan the area.

Camino a la derecha que se dirije al complejo de Turismo Rural Los Chozos y a un merendero. Dirt road to the right that leads to the touristical complex of Los Chozos and to a picnic area.

6 Mirador - Viewpoint

Mirador y merendero oriental de la presa de Horno Tejero. Aparcar y otear. Viewpoint and picnic area east of the Horno Tejero reservoir. Park and scan.

Pista ascendente a la derecha. Ascending dirt road to the right.

Pista a la izquierda. Aparcar y subir a pie hasta el mirador natural de Higuera Loca (200 m.). Dirt road to the left. Park and walk up to the natural viewpoint of Higuera Loca (200 m).

Mirador Natural de Higuera Loca. Otear. Natural viewpoint of Higuera Loca (crazy fig tree). Scan the area.

Pista. Aparcar junto al paso canadiense y subir andando por el camino de la derecha hasta el mirador natural de La Cebadera (800 m.). Luego volver al punto 7 y girar a la derecha. Dirt road. Park next to the cattle grid and walk up the right hand track to the natural viewpoint of La Cebadera (800m). Then return to point nº 7 and turn right.

Pista a Puebla de Obando (derecha). Esta pista está asfaltada sólo los primeros 4 km. Tras ellos el recorrido sólo se puede hacer en todo terreno, a pie o en bicicleta. Road to Puebla de Obando on the right. This road is metalled only along the first 4 kms. After that you can only continue by 4x4, on foot or by bike.

13 Fin tramo asfaltado - End of the asphalted road

Arroyo del Corcho. Aparcar, caminar y otear. Fin del tramo asfaltado. Para llegar a Puebla de Obando son más de 10 Km de camino intransitable para turismos por lo que se recomienda concluir aquí esta parte de la ruta y retomarla en Puebla de Obando accediendo por carretera. El Corcho stream. Park, walk and scan the area. End of the asphalted road. The remaining 10 kms of dirt road to Puebla de Obando are not suitable for normal cars. Therefor, it is advisable to return to Cordobilla de Lácara and drive to Puebla de Obando in order to catch up with the route at the other end.

Puebla de Obando. Entramos en la población por la C/ Felipe González Iglesias para dirigirnos a la Ermita de San Isidro. Puebla de Obando. We enter the village through the Felipe González Iglesias street and we continue towards the Ermita de San Isidro (hermitage).

Cañada Real y Ermita de San Isidro. Aparcar, caminar y otear. Cañada Real (main drovers road) and Ermita (hermitage) de San Isidro. Park, walk and scan the area.

Desvío a la derecha. Entrada de finca. Aparcar y seguir a pie las indicaciones hasta el Mirador de Sierra Gorda. Turn right into the estate. Park the car and walk towards the Viewpoint of the Sierra Gorda following the indications.

18 Mirador - Viewpoint

Mirador de Sierra Gorda. Otear el entorno. Final de la ruta. Viewpoint of Sierra Gorda. Scan the surroundings. End of the route.
