Itinerary description
Maubuisson - Solac sur Mer - Royan
The route out of Maubuisson was really easy and flat you get 20-30kms of nothing before Solac Sur Mer, really enjoyable kilometers to catch the ferry with up and downs along the coast and a train line. WWII bunkers, Solac is probably a place worth stopping and spending a day, but we wanted to catch the ferry across to Royan.
Ferry 5€ bike included/ per person, really good experience and they run regularly but you should check the times.
Campsite in Royan was far from the city, recommended for vélodyssée but 3kms from the city centre, it has a small pool and price was 27€ for 2 people, slightly expensive for what it is, and it's noisy also given a site next to the restaurant doesn't help. Restaurant food is nice and 20€ range per person
