Itinerary description
Biscarrosse-Plage - Le Pilat after not finding accommodation at Biscarrosse-Plage we went to Yellow Village campsite.
Nice route a bit of climbing and up and down with no shelter from the wind, devastated by forest fires the campsite on la dune de pilat, very nice staff but overly priced 43€ for 2 people , burnt campsite in 2022 forest fires, no shade, ashes on the sand to pitch the tent. It has a kid pool and lots of children/family activities, it's being rebuilt and at an amazing venue but not worth that price. Supermarket at the campsite is nice, restaurants are expensive. But either go to one of the other 4 campsites along the dune the pilat which might be cheaper or even free camp at the dune. But it's definitely a place to stop.
