We leave Bitola, a very flat road with little traffic to the border with Greece about 15 km.
It took us a while to cross the border because apart from showing us the European digital vaccination certificate Covid they make us fill out a form. The Greek customs officer very catxondo !!
Once in Greece the road is still very flat and not very busy, which allows us to drive at a very high pace.
Towards lunch, we decide to leave the expressway (it's boring because you know how to go on a highway) and we decide to look for an alternative secondary road to go find a village where you can eat.
On the map we see an alternative route that passes through Lake Vegoritida and we decide to get to Edessa by this route. Very right decision, because apart from the lake which is very beautiful, the road is in good condition and no one is having a good time. It is a very rural area, with fruit trees on both sides. At a crossroads that we stop to consult the map a very nice lady gives us two spectacular apples !!!
We finally arrived in Edessa and stayed at the Alpha Hotel which is pretty good although more expensive than the ones in Macedonia and Albania as expected.
