From Windhoek to Reoboth it is about 90 km of paved road, the B1. Not particularly interesting and above all traveled by trucks that don't have much respect for the cyclist. From Reoboth to the lakeside resort it is 7km on a gravel road. In reality, coming from the north, it is possible to take a dirt road that leads directly to the lodge without going through Reoboth. It is signposted. You avoid a few km and above all you avoid a steep climb that exists if you pass through Reoboth. The lodge really deserves it. There are several well-maintained lodges surrounded by greenery, a reception area and a restaurant with a terrace over the water. We eat well. You can also pitch a tent if you don't want to sleep in the bungalows.
