WCRVBB-T17-TOUR OF DENMARK-STAGE 09-Aalborg-Aahrus 94 km
This is the 9th stage of the Tour of Denmark that you can find clicking here.
STAGE DESCRIPTION
This stage is the final part to Aahrus, with a final connection of 40 km from Randers to Aahrus. Mainly through paved bike lines and secondary roads in this smoothly hilly part of Denmark. In the first part you take a desviation to Rebild Bakker National park. You can park the bike and visit it.
Then you pass through non paved roads in the forest, that leads to Oxso lake, a place very pleasant. In Port Hebro you can take a rest and take the main road to Randers, when you can take the train to Ahrus or make a very long stage with bike.
POINTS OF INTEREST
- Rebild Bakker (Hilly natural park with hiking paths)
- Store Oxso and Glenstrup lakes.
- Hobro kirke.
DESTINATION POINT
Aahrus, sleeping at Aahrus DanHostel. Big city with interesting points:
- Den Gamble By. Open air museum of the old town and Aahrus live.
- Old Town.
- The University.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
Cycle from Randers to Aahrus instead of taking the train. But this is another stage or a very large stage.
