17-TOUR OF DENMARK-STAGE 05-Thisted-Blokhus 92 km

This is the 5th stage of the Tour of Denmark that you can find clicking here.

STAGE DESCRIPTION
The fifth stage follow local and quiet roads till Fjerritslev. First we ride with local roads near the limfjord. Very beautiful sights of the Fjord. After a few kilometers then in the main road, you turn right on secondary roads and you pass near a viking cementery. After Forstrup, you head to non paved paths than leads to marshes with interesting birdwatching towers. In Clim, you see a Clog house, with many of this kind of shoes in his exterior walls.
The main road leads to Fjerristlev where you can take a break befor to return to the north Sea. The road to the north has a Solar System reproductions next to the road, and finally turns non paved to head to the beach. Next to the beach, there is an interesting wind mill and then the road passes through the woods. In Skinlov Hotel you have a very impressive terrace to take a drink next to a lonely and dramatic beach. Very interesting. In Slettstrand, you join more villages of second residences next to the dunes, and you ride in the sand path beteween the houses. You are another time in the North Sea cycle route.
More dunes, sand and houses leads you to the destination village, Blockhus.

   - The Clog house in Klim.
   - Solar system planets in Fjerristslev.
   - Skinlov Hotel near the sea.
   - Tranum Strand.

DESTINATION POINT
Blokhus. Sleeping in Blokhus Danhostel in Hune. Small village with a very interesting beach (strand) and a little touristic center with shops.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
