Shortly after starting this stage it begins to rain with joy (this was the only day that rained us throughout the bike ride in northern Vietnam) and decided to take a bus that went to the same destination, taking advantage of this way to rest that good lack made us. Also taking advantage of the fact that the bus was going to Lao Cai (which was the destination of tomorrow's cycling stage) decided to get there and win another day, so that in one day we crossed what we had planned in two stages. In spite of rain and bad weather, we can discover the beauty of this calm stage for a rural area with little traffic and with road sections in works and others without asphalting.
Finally the bus leaves us to Lao Cai, a border city with China with more than one hundred thousand inhabitants. Like so many border cities, this is also quite impersonal and it does not have too much tourist interest, although it has many hotels and restaurants, the majority are cold and without too much charm, thought especially for Chinese and Vietnamese merchants
