Itinerary description
This is an alternative track between Troia and Canosa di Puglia for the Via Traiana.
While riding the Via Traiana from Canosa to Troia, I created a different track for the way back. As much as possible, the track follows the unpaved and farm tracks, avoiding any bigger roads. Frankly, I wasn't impressed with the view from the Via Traiana on this section of the track and believe that this alternative is a bit more varied.
About half-way of the track, you'll pass through the tiny town called "Stornarella", where you'll find a cafe for nice break.
As the track intersects with a few rivers, train tracks and a main highway, there are limited bridges to cross them. Therefore, a more direct track is not possible or would put you on the bigger roads that will have fast car or big trucks.
