The road used for the day is rather good quality with a few holes here and there. On the other hand, it crosses the Bardia National Park and you have to pass the security checkpoint to announce yourself at the entrance and exit and this for all vehicles because of wild animals.
Obviously for bikes we don't need to register. However, there are signs everywhere: watch out for wild animals, watch out for tigers, watch out for elephants… it's not very reassuring, but during the day we only came across a few monkeys on the road. They are harmless and fugitive except at Checkpoints where they obviously know that they can steal food from stopped vehicles.
There are two consecutive climbs to be made on this route. After the first climb, and its descent there is a small village, with many small restaurants or where to stock up on food and drink.
