The day is easier, even if it goes up overall. It's a quiet climb, except for the last two kilometers before the pass which climb well.
After the town of Fairlie, there is a dirt cycle path to avoid being on the main road.
The camping clearing in the forest is very pleasant, although the road is about a hundred meters away and you can hear the passing traffic. At night it's really very quiet.
