Itinerary description
just a nice and relaxing tour by bike in San Francisco.
We got our bikes near Pier 45 in Blazing Saddles bike shop. All day bike rental!
Start in the Maritime Museum bike lane, follow the signs and continue all the way to the Golden Gate. The bike lane is really nice, just be careful of pedestrian walking in the lane, apart from that San Francisco has a nice net of bike lanes in the city (just mind the hills :P)
Once passing through the golden gate be careful with the winds.. you can feel it pushes you, and also be careful of the pro cyclists, they dont mind passing you full speed just trying to beat their strava segments.
Arrive to the other side of the bridge, you can continue the way to Sausalito but we decided to come back and take a ride trough the golden gate park, even in the rental bikes we were able to reach max speed +45km/h in the nice down hills.
We finally headed back to the bike shop and we were tempted in take the famous down hill in Lombard Street but when we saw the big steep climb we decided not to do it lol.
