Itinerary description
From Ganges, made a 25k or so sightseeing loop of north Saltspring's pretty rural scenery. Ended up @ Long Harbour to take a direct ferry to Pender island. There is nothing to eat on a weekday @ Long Harbour! Even the pop machine @ the ferry terminal was broken. There is a decent café on the ferry if you can't wait until Pender where there is a good restaurant and supermarket not far from the ferry. Stayed a Prior campground, which was small but not busy and had running water (cold) by the entrance.
