Itinerary description
The first part of the trip until Doneztebe is relatively easy (no major climbs) and very pleasant. From SJL until Hendaye, follow the signs of "liaison cyclable". In Hendaye, there is one point were you need to dismount and walk down a few steps. After crossing the French Spanish Border on the "Pont International", follow the signs of the Via Verde, which takes you along the Bidasoa on a former railroad track. It might be a good idea to take along lights as the lighting in some of the tunnels is substandard.
The most physically demanding part of the trip is going up the "Puerto de Belate", a 1st category climb of the Vuelta del Pais Vasco. Once this is achieved, the rest is relatively easy in comparison.
