(RO/EN) LIVADA - ZIMANDCUZ - ZIMANDU NOU - SANTANA - CURTICI - MACEA

Din centrul Aradului, din jurul catedralei, urmezi drumul 79 si dupa 10 km intri in Platoul Aradului si poti vizita Livada si Sânleani, 2 sate mici, cu importanta agrara si cu cateva biserici vechi. Mergand inapoi pe drumul principal, mergi mai departe de Zimandcuz si o iei pe drumul 791, in dreapta, vei ajunge in Zimandul Nou unde poti merge in Padurea Utviniș, o rezervatie cu platani si tufisuri de aluni turcesti; de asemenea poti vizita Canalul Militar, o importanta lucrare hidrotehnica. Mergand, in aproximativ o ora vei ajunge in Sântana: arhitectura specifica, monumentele arhitecturale si istorice, cum ar fi cladirea ''Convictului'', casa urbarială și fortificațiile "Cetatea veche" sunt câteva repere turistice ale acestei localități. Luand-o pe drumul din dreapta din centrul orasului, urmezi drumul 792C si vei ajunge la portile muntilor Zarandului, in satul Pâncota, unde vei gasi vechiul oficiu postal, palatul ''Schulkovschy, canalul Matca, o importanta lucrare hidrotehnica si Casa Verde, situata pe bulevardul principal. Venind inapoi in Sântana, ramanand pe drumul 792C vei ajunge in Curtici, un oras la granita dintre Ungaria si Romania, importanta frontiera feroviara trecand prin platoul Sântanei, caracterizat in zona orasului prin dealurile de nisip formate de catre vechile lunci ale Muresului. La 3 km in partea de nord vei gasi Macea, un mic sat care include rezervatia naturala numita ''Arboretul de la Macea'' ( 20.5 ha), Castelul Csernovics,monument arhitectural apartinand patrimoniului national,construit in secolul 19, camera de expozitie cu caricaturi, de asemenea ''plaja'' si gradina botanica. Venind inapoi in Campia Aradului vei trece prin Sofronea,unde te poti opri in Castelul Purgly si sa te bucuri de apele termale. Drept pe drumul 709B vei ajunge pe strada Aurel Vlaicu, aproape de Atrium Mall.

From Arad center surrounding the cathedral you follow 79 road and after 10 km you enter in Aradului Plateau and you can visit Livada and Sânleani two little typical agrarian villages with some nice old churches. Going back on main road you go beyond Zimandcuz and taking the 791 road on the right you arrive in Zimandu Nou where you can go inside Utviniș Forest, a forest reservation with plane tree and Turkish hazel bush; you can also visit the Military Channel, a significant hydrotechnic work. Going on in around one hour you will arrive in Sântana: there the specific architecture, the historical and architectural monuments as the "Convictului" building, the copy-hold house and the fortifications called "Cetatea veche" are only a few of the locality's touristic sights. Taking the road on the right from the center of the city you follow 792 C and you will arrive at the gates of Zarandului mountains in the village of Pâncota where you will find the old post office, the "Schulkovschy" palace, the Matca channel, an important hydrotechnical work, and the Green House (Casa verde) situated on the main Boulevard. Coming back in Sântana
remaining on 792 C you will arrive in Curtici, a border town between Hungary and Romania important rail border crossing in Sântanei Plateau characterized in the zone of the town by the sand hills formed by the old branches of the Mureș. 3 km in the North side you will find Macea, a small village that includes the natural reservation called "Arboretul de la Macea" (20,5 ha), the Csernovics Castle - architectural monument belonging to the national patrimony, built in the 19th century, the exhibition room with caricatures, well as the beach and the botanical garden. Coming back in Campia Aradului you will pass through Sofronea, where you can stop in Sofronea`s Purgly`s castle to enjoy of its thermal waters. Straight on the 709 B you will arrive on Auriel Vlaicu street near Atrium Mall.
