(RO/EN) Fantanele - Lipova - Manastiria Radna - Soimos Cetatea - Vladimirescu

Excursie usoara si distractiva in jurul Aradului,admirand frumoasele peisaje si dealurile verzi. Pedalati pe o distanta de 40 de km si vei trece pe langa satele Fantanele,Frumuseni,Alunis si Zabrani vei ajunge in Radna unde trebuie sa vizitezi manastirea Maria Radna. Sus,pe malurile râului Mures,vei gasi biserica milei. Pe durata a secole-marcate de opresiunile celor cu credinta diferita,in timpul colonizarii Banatului,pierderea credinciosilor datorita emigrarii si opresiunii comuniste-milioane de pelerini au fost atrasi de acest loc. Locul de pelerinaj este un loc de reflectie,de indrumare,putere in special pentru catolici, vorbitori de limba germana, locul fiind protejat ,conservat si incurajat de romanii ortodoxi,comunitatea greco-catolica ,cu ritul lor bizantin si de oamenii care au venit de departe de pe malurile Tisei si din Transilvania. Urmand ruta numarul 7,dupa aproape 1 km dupa biserica de pe partea stanga a drumului,vei gasi o mica stanca pe care o poti urca ,foarte usor de ajuns dupa doar 5 minute de mers! Mergand in aceeasi directie pe partea stanga poti vedea un mic deal,in varful caruia se pot vedea ruinele Cetatii Soimos. Datand din secolul al 13-lea,cetatea a fost mai tarziu abandonata in jurul anului 1790; vestigii din piatra,de tip Renaissance pot fi admirate si astazi. Urmand drumul cu numarul 7 ,in aproximativ 30 de km trecand de Baratca,Paulis,Sambateni si Vladimirescu vei ajunge inapoi in centrul Aradului !

Very nice and easy trip around Arad admaring beautiful landscapes and green hills: biking 40 kms passing the villages of Fantanele, Frumuseni, Alunis and Zabrani you will arrive in Radna where you must visit MARIA RADNA MONASTERY. High above the shores of the Maros river you will find the church of mercy; in the course of centuries - marked by opression of those with different faith, the buildup during the settlement (colonization) of the Banat, the loss of believers through displacement, emigration and opposition to communism - millions of pilgrims have been attracted to this place. The place of pilgrimage is a sanctuary of awakening, reflection, guidance, strength and comfort especially for the catholic German speaking settlers on the Danube, which has been preserved and supported by orthodox Romanians, the greek-catholic religious community with their church services in Byzantine Rite and by those people that came afar from the shores of the Tisza and from Transylvania. Following the route number 7 almost 1 km after the church on the left side of the road you will find a little but very nice cliff to climb, very easy to reach after 5 minutes of walking! Going on through the same direction on the left side you can see a little hill on top of which you will find the ruins of Soimos Fortress. Dating from the 13th century, the fortress was later abandoned around the year 1790; vestiges of the Renaissance stonework can still be admired today. Following the road number 7 in almost 30 km passing through Baratca, Paulis, Sambateni and Vladimirescu you will come back in the center of Arad !
