Day Five of Valdivia to Puerto Varas - Option 1
This route takes you along the West Shore region of Llanquihue Lake with completion just another Day away. (See below for alternatives.)
The Longest Dedicated Bike Lane in Latin America has its start on your departure from Lago Ranco Town - Pavement and Spectacles!
DECISION COMING UP: Go right or left around Lago Llanquihue to arrive to Puerto Varas? Both are beautiful and both are unique. Want to go Left instead and take the longer way around the Lake? No problem. Upcoming maps will outline the East Shore Region in reverse (Since we have it planned as a counter-clockwise continuation option below.) Our recommendation is to do a curlique around the Llanquihue region and see all of its great roads and features. Finish with a flourish! Around the whole Lake: Octay-Frutillar-Varas-Ensenada-Clocker-Octay-Fruitillar-Varas!
