From Port Hedland - Broome: a very boring road and very exposed to the wind.
EYE! At 80miles Beach I tried to do the route along the beach when I saw that the sand was hard. After approximately km30 it became hell and the roads that appear on the maps as escape routes do not exist. It is not recommended to do this unless you go with a fat bike and take enough supplies to cross the entire beach.
Broome - Kununurra: Including the mythical unsealed, town-less Gibb River Road between Derby and Kununurra. You have to be well informed and stock up before entering this road!
Kununurra - Darwin: mainly paved road without major difficulty and covering beautiful spaces in the northern territory.
