Once we arrived by pedaling in Kathmandu, we still had a few days left to take the return flight, so we decided to take the bikes again and take a couple of days tour through the Shivapuri National Park, a half-wooded area Mount to the north of the Kathmandu Valley, close to the city. To save us the chaotic traffic of the Nepalese capital and, by the way, more than 500 meters of altitude, we took a bus with bikes to Kakani, at the western entrance of the Park, where we started pedaling.

Casa Particular a Maidan
We arrived at the small village of Maidan, north of Shivapuri National Park, just outside the park boundary, late in the afternoon. We were told that there was no accommodation and there was not a relatively close one, but boasting a great hospitality they did not hesitate to offer us a bed in a village house, the same where they stayed. master of the town, who very kindly offered us his own cot. We dine with the whole family, and despite the lack of verbal communication (no one spoke English), we had a very pleasant evening and treated us as well as they could.
