Itinerary description

In this second we begin by a track first asphalted, but that deteriorates until the asphalt disappears. We will climb gently, crossing scattered villages, smiling peasants who, when they see us greet us kindly, are carrying enormous grass bundles and curious children, all framed by innumerable fields of rice of a greenish bloom, until the beginning of November when they follow the cereal The beauty of the consistent stone houses plastered with reddish mud and straw or slate roofs also attracts attention. Before crowning and if the day allows us, we can enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayas, specifically the white ridge of the Ganesh, culminated by the Ganesh I, of 7,422 m. Shortly thereafter, he will also take his head further west with the characteristic silhouette of two ends of the 8th highest mountain in the world, the Manaslu, which with his 8,163 m will accompany us for a few days. After 17 kms of ascent we reach a town on top of a hill (1,180m) and begins a steep descent on a track that is in very bad condition, which will be a real challenge for our parasols and where the dust that raises the sporadic passage of trucks will leave us white from top to bottom. Later we pass through the village of Salyantar and then a beautiful viewpoint of the broad valley of Budhi Gandaki, a river that above separates the masses of Manaslu and Ganesh (which, if the day is clear, stand out in the background). Next, the track in poor condition will lower us in less than 5 km to the town of Arhugat, where we will find some simple truckers' dwelling where you eat daal bhat and spend the night in the company of a wildlife of the most varied.
