An almost flat little time for a "rest day" to savor the breathtaking surroundings of Lumbini, where a very contrasting atmosphere is found among the hundreds of Buddhist pilgrims and Hindu communities living in small rural settlements.
First we visited the Buddhist temples in this place where Siddharta Gautama, later converted into Buddha, was born in 563 BC, and in the afternoon we rolled around Lumbini, enjoying the beautiful rural scenes that the last rays of sun us they gave away

Proximitats dels temples budistes
In the vicinity of the place where the Buddha was born, there are many Buddhist temples where pilgrims from all over the world gather. The oval faces and almond eyes of most Buddhist monks contrasted with the dark skin and large eyes of the Hindus proper to that region.

Els voltants de Lumbini són un indret molt autèntic i rural. Tot i la proximitat del temple budista, pels pobles propers s'hi respira un ambient totalment hindú.
