Itinerary description
The first one consists substantially of the Rohtang La crossing, followed by the descent into the Chandra valley, with the subsequent ascent in the Bhaga valley.
Due to an error, I cycled off from Manali with the recording of the track points on the card turned off. I detected this when we were already at Whisky Nalah.
So, of the bicycle ride I own only the 500-point compressed track.
For this reason I recorded properly the data while travelling back to Manali from Leh by bus, on 25-02-2015, following the very same route - which is also the only one. Hence, the present track is obtained by time-reversing that data. Compared to typical tracks recorded from the bicycle, I detected a little loss of precision in some stretches. However, consider that this is not a point since the whole track follows the road.
The division in days is as follows:
04-08: in the afternoon, climb from Manali up to Marrhi, last village under the Rohtang La;
05-08: crossing of the Rohtang La. Descent to the Chandra valley, followed until Gondhla, a little settlement past Sissu;
06-08: descent to the Chandra-Bhaga junction, the point where the two river unite to form the Chenab river. Ascent to Keylong and, past Keylong, to the tiny village of Gimur;
07-08: only the first kms of this day, until the Darcha bridge, are included in the present track. See Manali-Leh 02 for continuation: http://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/view.do?id=10857734
Waypoints
Manali
Start of the Manali-Leh highway. Highly touristic location, that can be reached overnight from Delhi by bus.
Solang fork
The fork to the Solang valley, where the Rohtang tunnel is being constructed.
Rahala waterfalls
We passed the Rahala waterfalls at night, the photos refer to a bit lower down.
Marrhi
Village high on the way to Rohtang La. Many dhabas also offering accommodation.
Rohtang La, 3980
The first big pass, 2000 me ascent from Manali. We found it in awkward conditions, especially on the Lahaul side.
Stupa after Rohtang
Located at a panoramic point where the view opens on the Lahaul region. Weather permitting! The site is also full of flowers.
Rohtang tunnel north portal
Works in progress also on this side.
Switchbacks after Gondla
A problematic stretch of road begins at these few switchbacks. Very eroded mountainside, with continuous works in progress.
Tandi bridge
Located near the confluence Chandra - Bhaga, which give rise to the Chenab river, flowing later into Kashmir. Here you touch the minimal height after the Rohtang La. There is also a petrol station in the vicinity.
Fork to Chenab valley
Right below the village of Tandi, which is not touched by the main road.

Hola Alfredo

Saludos, Alberto.
Muchas gracias seguire tus consejos
