Itinerary description
Desde Licq, nos acercamos en bici hasta la entrada al camino de la Garganta y Puente de Holztarte (caida de 150m), donde atamos las bicis y hicimos el camino a pie. La taberna ahí en la carretera solo vende sandwiches y tapas básicas. Después, seguimos por las últimos 3 km de rampas constantes -algunas de 12%- hasta Larrau, donde comimos muy bien en el único hotel-restaurante del pueblo. La iglesia tiene una presentación de sonido/luz sobre su historia. Muy interesante, y muy bien hecha.
From Licq, we cycled to the entrance to the Holztarte Gorge and suspension bridge (150m drop), where we tied up our bikes and walked the route. The tavern on the roadside only sells sandwiches and basic tapas. We then continued up the last 3 km, a steady climb -12% in some sections- to Larrau, where we had an excellent meal (28€) with great views in the only hotel-restaurant in the village. The church has a son-et-lumier presentation in several languages about its history. Very interesting, tastefully designed.
