Interesting tour between Slovenia and Croatia. If connected to the Cottur cycle path in Trieste or starting from Basovizza you can pass 3 states in a single lap. I photographed the border posts with fences installed to implement the Schengen borders which we hope will disappear soon. The area is beautiful with karst prairies and wooded areas. Depending on the slopes of the hills the vegetation is changeable. The objective was to make a not too demanding route that passed through the Velica Vrata, the crossing point between Slovenia and Croatia. The return from the Slovenian side follows sheep tracks avoiding the dangerous state road that leads to Rieca (Fiume in Italian).
