Rajastan crossing by bike!
Step 1 : from delhi to Jaisalmer by train.
- take your train ticket
- get 1 or 2 photocopies of your passport!
- go to train station min. 2h in advance, and look for the outward parcel office.
- book your bike (no preperation needed) _ approx 500INR for 2 bikes
- you should receive a text message saying your bikes have been boarded in the train.
- at arrival, parcel office in jaisalmer will open at 10:00 am.
Step 2 :
In Jaisalmer, easy to find supplies, a few bike shops with basic stuff...
Main road to jodhpur is in very good condition, traffic is ok and you can ride on the shoulder most of the time...
Small road is more rought but very ridable.
Shops all along the way, a few ones in Moolana.
No restaurant on the small road.
Gas station on the small road a bit before Moolana.
Sleep in the dunes, keep your bikes and all your belongings close to you!
There are also dunes close to
*approx 1km NW from Rasla.
Windy region!
