Itinerary description

Viatge per Himalaia Indi. Estiu 2018: Kinnaur, Spiti, Zanskar i Ladakh
(Desnivells acumulats mostrats a wikiloc incorrectes. Dades reals: +685m)

Fins char no hi ha pista. Només hi ha dues opcions. O creuar el riu amb una cistella / tirolina i continuar per camí completament carregat amb la bici o bé seguir pel camí principal, amb les alforges en cavalls i creuar el pont penjant que hi ha passat Char i que connecta amb la pista que du a Padum. Opto per aquesta segona opció. El pont penjant està amb un estat un pèl precari i es mou moltíssim. No em veig capaç de creuar jo amb la bici al mateix temps, necessio les mans a la barana per mantenir l'equilibri. Gent local em creua la bici per mi.
Un cop a la pista, l'estat vària entre bona i nefasta amb bancs de sorra.

No road till Char. Two ways to leave Purne. Crossing the river through a metal basket just in Purne, and later push the bike all the way through a trail till Char or going through the other side carrying paniers on horses and later crossing the swinging bridge after Char to get into the Padum road. I chose the second option. The swinging bridge it is not in very good state and swings a lot. I did not manage to cross the bike by myself. I needed my hands on the rails to keep the balance. Local people crossed the bicycle for me. Once in the road, the quality of the surface varies a lot depending on the section. Some parts there were some sand banks I had to push.

    As of 2020 the road is completed according to some local travellers.
