Itinerary description

Show original
Very spectacular stage with incredible landscapes that runs all over the 4,300 meters in height. The climb to the port of Baralacha The (4,920 meters) is for a highway that is in a good state that is gaining unevenness gradually, although the rise is a bit heavy (I guess due to the height). The views from the neck, rubbing the 5,000 meters, are very spectacular. Then the road gets worse, but in the end it is again in great condition. The only place to eat and eat something (basically rice with spicy sauce!) Is in Bharatpur, which is nothing more than a group of rustic dhabes (stone shelters and tarpaulins) seasonal located at 4,750 meters in height, some of which they tell us that they have already disassembled them and the others will take a few days to do so (we are on October 2, at the end of the season). Sarchu is another camp of simple dhabes, although much more numerous. Between the beginning and the end of the stage, Bharatpur is the only place where we can find something to eat and drink.

Sarchu

Sarch is located at 4,400 meters in height. There are many dhabes (shelters of stones, lones or plates) where to spend the night or eat something. Some remain open until mid-October, if climatology allows it.
