Itinerary description
Day ride from Hanoi to Hoa Binh about 80km, overnight in Hoa Binh. Many small hotels available in Hoa Binh. Hoa Binh has a large multi-purpose dam with large reservoir worth a trip up to the view point. An excellent example of Russian Technology. Xuan Mai is about half-way on the route and a good lunch stop - several good pho restaurants.
Ride is mostly on gentle gradients with one small easy pass at about 20km before Hoa Binh. About 5 - 6 hours ride.
