In this fourth stage all the beauty and hardness of the Welsh landscapes is synthesized. We start from Bow Street with the sea behind us, to meet the Dovey River at the beginning of its mouth, so that it takes us up to the charming city of Machynlleth. Its historical center is impregnated with a marked medieval atmosphere, in which a curious tower stands out in the center of the town. After a snack, we return to the North. Near here, in a lonely hut, Jimmy Page composed the mythical "Stairway to Heaven".

We left the course of the river after a few kilometers to begin ascending a series of hills prior to Dolgellau, the anteroom of the Coed-y-Brenin forest. It does not stop surprising, trip after trip, that you always end up discovering corners of which no guide or blog has spoken to you, but that sometimes they eclipse the true objective of the journey. Starting from Upper Corris, in constant and extended ascent, the usual green takes an unreal vividness. As in the famous Windows screensaver. A short descent will take us to Llyn Mwyngil: a mountain lake with intense blue waters. The stream that feeds it creates a canyon through which we will ascend 4 km more steep than the previous ones. The almost fluorescent green meadows, the narrow gorge, the valley floor framed by Mwyngil and the Corris hills give us one of the best postcards of the trip.

We descend quickly to Dolgellau and we enter the forest of Coed and Brenin, a paradise of mountain biking and hiking. Large trees, mainly conifers, now replace the prairies. We began to ascend again, but we have learned the lesson: what really is to fear for these parts are the flat areas, which never are. The climb is stretched and very bearable. After about 12 km, we can put fat plate without contemplations. The forest has ended in a high plateau (atypically, almost flat), which will lead us to the great lake of Llyn Trawsfynydd. In front of us are already the peaks of the highest peaks of Snowdonia and, therefore, the country: this indicates that the trip is coming to an end, which creates a strange mixture of grief and euphoria.

Arrived in Gellydan, we descend again through forests through a forest track: perhaps this is the most beautiful stretch of the trip and, at first, we had not even considered going through here. The Snowdon (1085m), is now shown without tapujos and will be there where we will have to spend tomorrow to reach Caernarfon, end of route. We ended the day the Maentwrog, tiny but very lively town at the foot of the heart of Snowdonia. Considering the figures of distance and unevenness, we can not say that it was a walk today, but it has been enjoyed a lot.
