Itinerary description
Lahsa-Kathmandu. When we went in 2007, some of the segments of the route were old dirt road. Nowadays probably all the route has already been asphalted/paved.
From New Tingri you can take a variant up to Rongbuk Monastery and the Everest Base Camp. There are at least two different routes to reach Rongbuk, The normal one, which has probably been also paved, and an alternative second (longer and mayb more interesting for cycling) that is the one we took. Rongbuk loop in not in this track.
